No. The PDF is opened and rendered by your browser, the crop is turned into a bitmap on your machine, and the ZPL is built by a worker in the same page. Nothing is sent to a server at any point.

Which DPI should I choose?

The one your printer actually is. A label converted at 300 dpi and printed on a 203 dpi printer comes out about a third too large, because every coordinate in ZPL is in printer dots. If you do not know, 203 dpi is the most common.

Why is the output so large, and can I make it smaller?
